Governor Andrew M. Cuomo has announced new guidelines allowing out-of-state travelers to New York to “test out” of the mandatory 14-day quarantine. Travelers from states that are contiguous with New York will continue to be exempt from the travel advisory; however covered travelers must continue to fill out the Traveler Health Form. Essential workers will continue to be exempt as well. The new protocol is effective Wednesday, November 4. Lake Ontario flood risk downgraded to 8%, international board says
The chances of flooding this spring on the shores of Lake Ontario are now deemed "low," the board that controls outflows from the lake said this week.

IJC allows increased Lake Ontario outflows into spring
The International Joint Commission will allow increased outflows from Lake Ontario until the lake reaches its spring peak, in what a news release Friday said was a proactive move to try to prevent flooding.
